How To Fish is a bizarre first-person fishing adventure that turns a relaxing day on the water into a chaotic battle for survival. After a drunken boat trip ends with a crash on a mysterious island, you’ll need to master an unconventional kind of fishing to find your way home.
Instead of simply casting a line and waiting, you’ll catch creatures, blast them with weapons, and sell your haul to earn money for better equipment. The game combines fishing, exploration, shooting, physics-based action, missions, and boss fights into an unusual open-world experience.
Talk to the island’s characters before setting out, as their requests reveal what you should catch and where you need to go. Practice on common fish to learn the controls and save valuable bait for tougher encounters. As you progress, new islands, creatures, challenges, and bosses expand the adventure.
Your money is best spent strategically. The inexpensive radar from the lighthouse becomes particularly useful when you receive coordinates for distant islands, while powerful weapons can be more important than upgrading your boat too early. With absurd physics, strange wildlife, and plenty of chaotic encounters, How To Fish offers a fishing game unlike anything you’d expect from the genre.
