Trees Hate You is a chaotic rage-comedy indie game where a peaceful walk home after a picnic turns into a brutal, hilarious battle against a forest that actively tries to sabotage you. Developed by Tykenn and planned for release in 2026, the game transforms trees, bushes, and the environment itself into unpredictable enemies designed to trick, trap, and humiliate players at every step.
Built around trial-and-error gameplay, Trees Hate You focuses on surprise traps and comedic frustration rather than traditional platforming skill. Every path may hide fake-outs, chain reactions, or absurd deaths, keeping players constantly tense while laughing at their own misfortune. The game emphasizes quick retries and short, highly replayable runs, making failure part of the fun instead of a punishment.
Players explore multiple changing biomes, collect quirky hats, and search for useful items like a mysterious axe while navigating increasingly unfair challenges. With its dark humor, unpredictable mechanics, and minimalist storytelling, the game delivers a unique atmosphere where the environment itself becomes the main antagonist.
