Purple Tentacle is one of Dr. Fred's crazy creations which mutates and becomes a crazy genius with arms. This monster now wants to take over the world. Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne are sent by Dr. Fred back in time. They travel to the previous day and have to turn off the Sludge-o-matic which slipped into the river and contaminated water, thanks to which the Purple Tentacle mutated. But Dr. Fred uses a fake diamond instead of a real one, which means Hoagie travels 200 years into the past and Laverne 200 year into the future. The player not only has to stop the scary Purple Tentacle from taking over the world, but also bring the friends back together.
